Best movie of all time according to everyone

I bought this movie back in college. Probably about '98. I was just going to rent it, but it was $5 to rent, $3 to buy so I just bought it. I bought it on VHS as DVDs weren't cool yet.
I watched the crap out of it and loved it. It's ridiculous and doesn't pretend to be any more than that. Plus it has Ricki Lake.

Wonderfully quotable. Always watchable. Great actors. Incoherent plot. What else could you ask?

I traded my VHS copy to someone about 10 years ago for the DVD. I'm watching the movie now and it's still funny.

The DVD was introduced to the market in 1996. You did not look very hard.

I wouldn't go that far, but I did like it far more than expected. It's certainly original and strange to say the least.
