I love the Speech at the end

The Speech he made at the end when he quit was so moving, passionate and beautiful. I totally agreed with everything he said up there because he basically summorized the whole movie in that speech talking about how nobody cared about the game of basketball itself but instead more about the money and the gifts they recieved in order to come there and alos how the team he coached the year eailer was alot better. I agree that he should not of given up on them. This is my favorite part of the movie. I also like at the end when the coach shows those kids a few things or two.

I just saw this on cable. The movie is what 13 yrs old? In Nick Nolte's speech at the end he mentions 10 yrs old playing on the courts that the greedy recruiters will be going after because they want to get to them earlier every year to offer bags of money. Now of course it's common to hear about 8-10 yr old with basketball shoe contracts while 12 & 13 yr olds in other sports are already turning pro.

What the *beep* are you talking about? Who the *beep* are these kids with shoe contracts and 12 year old professional athletes?

I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?"

It really does help save this film. The movie really is all over the place for the most part.
