FILMING LOCATION INFORMATION

Games were shot at my old high school in Frankfort, IN. They had to change the court and took the hotdog mascot out. They also had to paint the walls and scoreboard to cover up the Frankfort Hotdog icons. 4 games were filmed in the gym and the practice scenes across the way at the middle school. I paused during the games to see if I could recognize any ppl (small town. I do remember they didn't keep score they just let them play and changed the score for the shots. Frankfort was one of the first schools to have a dome arena (pretty sweet) and it seats like 3500-5000 ppl and is ony a 3A basketball program. I graduated in '03 and remember yelling with my 10 yr. old buddies "we want Shaq" as he drove off on a golf cart from the middle school gym (I was on the news). Although the movie isn't very good, the Blue Chips '94 is still painted with the Dolphin icon. I do remember they had to pump oxygen into the gym through the upper windows b/c of the volume of people. As far as the other scenes...no clue.

That officially answers the "where was this movie filmed" question.

Some of the scenes were shot at my fathers warehouse in New Orleans. I still have Nick Nolte and Shaq's autographs somewhere. The scene was in Algiers when Shaq is playing inside the gym where Nolte first scouted him. The warehouse is on Chartres St in the Bywater. After the film was shot, the warehouse was bought from my dad and turned into NOCCA, a school for various arts. There was also a scene that actually took place in the office portion of the warehouse. It's been awhile, so I don't remember the exact scene. If I saw it, I would recognize it.
