What are the 2 best scenes in the movie?

For me it's real easy,

1. The speech at the end, not a word of it was unrealistic or infact untrue (especially TODAY), what a great speech!

2.When Coach Bell finally gets Tony to admit that he shaved points, that was a sad sad scene.

What is everyone elses??

I love this movie and I'm a Celtics fan and an NBA fan. So I loved the scenes with Celtic greats Larry Bird and Bob Cousy.

For me here they are:

#2: The final speech at the end when Nolte comes clean and denounces the illegal practices. Great stuff.

#1: It was hard but for me, it's gotta be the part when Nolte kicks the hell out of that basketball!

Great movie. I've got to find the DVD!

1. From a filmmaking point of view, the scene where Ricky Roe demands perks from Coach Bell. Nolte's expression changes from pleasure to pain to rage.

2. When the coach and his staff watch the tape of Tony shaving points. Again, the mood changes as the visual evidence mounts.

that closing speech is incredible, but I gotta agree w/ wrfarley - when Nolte's doing it with his face, he's among the best in the game

You think about the scenes that are so unpredictable in film where you ask "what is he thinking?!" such as the part in Shawshank where Andy asks do you trust your wife, and then the scene changes for the better...i see this in the final scene with Nolte..."It wasn't a car, it was a fully loaded Lexus!" For me that was the best scene and I always love the when Nolte is runnin in the field gettin mad: "This kid better pan out!" i thought that was such a different venue to place Shaq's character it was neccessary

The free throw scene with Cousy is awesome - continuous take, and I guarantee the lefty shot at the end was an ad-lib.

For me:

#1) The ending presser. Nolte completely nails Bell's self-loathing catharsis in his acknowledgment of the white elephant omnipresent in today's collegiate athletics.

#2) The scene where Bell confronts Tony about the point shaving incident at his apartment in the midst of a party. IMO, it reveals the aspect Bell loves most about coaching - being able to instill values into his players, as somewhat of a father figure - because of his extreme disappointment and feeling of betrayal by Tony's confirmation of the incident.

I love the scene where Happy tells Pete that he bought Tony. When Pete is searching for the tape of the game and then they watch it with the other coaches in denial and slowly realising that Tony is shaving points. Brilliant.

My favorite scene is when Happy comes in the restaurant with the two hot girls with the giant boobs. I wish I knew who they were. Lol
