Confession: I've never seen it!

Saw The Sandlot Kids, Rooke of the Year, but not Angels in the Outfield.

was a fan of the first two 1993 movies mentioned, and saw them at the cinema at the time, but never seen Angels in the Outfield.

Question: should I? Would a fan of the aforementioned movies like this one?

Thanks!

If, as you say, you like sports movies, you'll like it.

I think the supernatural aspect of it...angels...kinda turned me off. Is that issue handled well? Or is it a 'park your brain at the door' type of scenario?

reply

It's not a horror movie if that's what your worried about. It's a feel good movie.

reply

no, but I don't want it to be too childish.

Could an adult enjoy this?

reply

My wife and I both enjoy it as adults. Christopher Lloyd really steals the show.

reply

he is a great actor.

What about Joseph Gordin Levitt? I know he was no Macauly Culkin, but does he pull it off?

reply

Yes

It’s a great family movie. It has some silly fun with the baseball scenes, but it has serious moments that make it more heartwarming than most baseball kids films.

It's great :D I used to watch it at my [paternal] grandma's house because her VHS library was kinda limited, and there weren't many kiddy movies available there.

I loved watching the angels do fantastic stuff on the baseball field. The kid starring in the film, Joseph Gordon Levitt, even grew up to be in well-known films such as "10 Things I Hate About You" and "Lincoln." Plus, who wouldn't love Christopher Lloyd or Danny Glover? Both are great actors too ;)

AND TONY DANZA...HE MAY OR MAY NOT BE THE BOSS.
