during the FINAL final scene where everyone is "flapping" or whatevs, why is the whole standium doing it? shouldn't a good amount of the stadium be rooting for the other team?

This could be true. When the Washington Capitals played the Pittsburgh Penguins (yeah, I know, I'm talking hockey) the owner of the Caps is also vice Chairman of AOL. He was able to block Pittsburgh fans from buying tickets through AOL.
shareWell, it was a home game for the Angels, so not too many Chicago fans would travel that far. And ya, it most likely sold out too fast for the Sox fans to get tickets.
