I hate the facts that the Angels helped them win

The point was to get them to play like a team but cheating just gave the the whole thing a big asterisk in the end. They didn't win the pennant on their own merit and talent.

My fantasy football team name is Good Will Punting

I've never seen this movie, but that does sound like a disappointment.

The last game the angels did not help out. So the Angels came together as a team and won the pennant on their own merit and talent

Yes, technically, but they didn't get there on their own merit and talent. In other words, they would have never been in the position of winning the pennant if the angels hadn't helped them get there.

the angels taught them how to believe in themselves and be a winning team. that's why they won the championship.

Why did they deserve to make it to the pennant? If it hadn't been for god cheating for them they never would have been in a position to win. This movie is fucked up on so many levels.

I completely agree that God is a cheater however I think the point was that they had it in them to be winners the whole time, they just had to believe in themselves. I mean at the beginning they were rapping about how awful they were showing that they didn't even have confidence in themselves, they saw themselves as a joke and instead of trying to better themselves they just said "f-ck it, we suck" and they joined in on the joke.
