DS Sharpe returns....
Was pleasantly surprised to see (one of my favourite actors!)Philip Jackson reprise his role as Detective Sergeant Sharpe (AKA: Razar!)dutifully assisting Frost in "Near Death Experience". Jackson first appeared in an episode from 1999 as DS Sharp entitled "Private Lives", and it was apparent that these 2 veteran actors had a wonderful, comedic on-screen chemistry, playing off each other. I would like to make a suggestion that the producers pair them up again in future episodes. PLEASE!! Also, as a point of continuity: When we first met DS (Razar) Sharpe in the Private Lives episode, he mentioned his wife "Anne" to Frost in general conversation. In this latest episode however, there is no mention of his being married (or not), and he makes no secret of his intense interest in the attractive forensic psychologist Dr. Martine Phillips assigned to the case. Frost comments to Sharpe, "Fancy her do you?" to which Sharpe replies, "Blimey 'Gov, I'd be daft not to!" Frost continues, "...I was wondering if it was your moody, enigmatic personality with it's scintillating wit that she fancied, or whether it was something more basic like, you know, uh, sex!" ...."Sex!, I hope!" Sharpe eagerly replies. So what's with that? I have only seen Part I so far, so perhaps his marital status is explained in Part II. ~~Just an observation~~ Any other comments out there?
