The one with the ex-paratroop officer
In one episode, Frost, addressing a former para officer who served from 1951 to 1981, says that the officer had served too late for World War 2, too early for the Falklands, and so had never seen action, the paras not having served in Korea.
The officer in question may well have served only in non-combatant roles, but Frost seemed to imply that the paras as a whole would not have seen combat in that period.
Not so. They served in Aden, Cyprus, Suez, Malaya and Northern Ireland, in any or all of which our fictitious para officer could have seen action.
