From the get go

Right now I'm watching the first episode of the first series. It totally strikes me how they've got ALL of those fabulous, characteristic ingredients of the Jack Frost series into the VERY FIRST episode. Specially when it comes to the characters.

We've known quite a few series. From 'I, Claudius' to 'Friends', from 'Coronation Street' to 'E.R.', from 'All in the Family' to 'Lost'. They are all fabulous. But none of them has shown in their first episode such determination about where to go where to be, and where to end up.

The Jack Frost series Touches upon its greatness from the get go. Much thanks to Mr. Jason. But including Mullett, Barnard, and Toolan. And the guys who wrote their scripts.

Nicely stated. There did seem to be prescience and forethought about these characters and their environment right from the first episode. The template was set.

A Touch of Frost is a great series. I wish it were better known in the U.S.
