Sorry, but if music is the issue, the should alter it in this case. Ally McBeal NEEDED the music, WKRP NEEDED the music, Freaks and Geeks NEEDED the music, and so on.
Am I ticked that I have 9 seasons of Married with Children without the classic theme song? Yes. But the point is I have the show and I didn't have to wait until after I was dead for my grandkids to finally enjoy it.
And Nothern Exposure made changes. Would I like it if they hadn't? Absolutely, but I am happier to have the shows. It did not have any impact on my enjoyment that they made changes on a show that really didn't depend on music.
Party of Five was not THAT heavily reliant on music that it should hold it up. I've heard it was bad sales, but maybe it's a combination. I don't know.
However, if a company isn't thinking sales are going to be good, then I'd rather they never released it. Owning 3 seasons of Party of Five is worse than owning none.
I want it all. It want to be able to relive the entire story, not half of it or three-quarters of it.
ED is being help up because of music. It's ridiculous. Charge 5 or 10 more dollars and you'd be surprised how many of the hardcore fans, the ones most likely to buy the show anyway after waiting so long, will still buy it. Just gety me Party of Five already and I'm not buying it until they're all out this time.
