Got Season One for $2.99 (First time viewer)

I was shopping at my local grocery store the other day and they had a DVD blowout bin. Looked through it and came across the S1 boxset for $5.99. I had always been curious about the show and for the price, why not? I get rung up and it is 50% off. I was surprised to see that it was a full 22 episode season too because usually partial season orders are cheaper than full season sets. Hell, I remember awhile back when TV DVD sets were expensive. The X-Files was $120 a season at first. Oh how times have changed.

So far I am five episodes in and I do enjoy it. The casting was brilliant. They do seem like an actual family and all have good chemistry. It is funny watching Matthew Fox play a ladies man after him being such a serious character on Lost. It is painful watching Neve Campbell play such a desperate needy character with men. Hell if I was PK and she came on that strong I would have bolted too.

Tell me, how is the first season in general in comparison to other seasons?
