Favorite Season?
What was everyone's favorite season? I think mine was season 3.

Probably season three, though I love them all dearly (with the possible exception of season six's very slow and simple arc as it coasted into it's finale). The finale was beautiful too.

Not sure yet.But I know Griffin should never have
married Julia. He should've stayed single and maybe
fathered a few child or two of his own too-in 1998.
I have only seen season 3 & 4. I like them both since they both have Griffin. I dont really watch any of the rest of the shows. :-)

Jeremy truly outrocks Jimmy as Griffin any season!

I have only seen season 3 & 4.
I do!But then I adore the Care Bears.But Birthday
Bear was the only original Care Bear from 1984 that
did not really make a comeback. And he was replaced
by Share Bear.To me that would be like replacing
Jeremy London as Griffin and going back to Jimmy Mar-
sden.Weird,hugh?
I actually am not a big PO5 fan. I just like Jeremy.

At least you're honest about that. Party of Five is much bigger and much better than any one castmember.

Like most shows, the first few seasons were definitely the best. The show definitely peaked in season 3, although season 4 wasn't too shabby at all. Like already mentioned, the cancer storyline was well done.
I've been watching the final two seasons the past few days since I've been sick, and the show just falls flat on many levels. While the show was always a bit over dramatic, its just out of control at this point. Way too much time was spent on Julia's abuse, didn't like how the custody battle played out, and they did a bad job with Sarah's exit from the show. The Daphne/Dianne angle wasn't needed at all, especially with Kirsten still on the show. The show just had way too many things going on in season 5.
It was also obvious that they were leaning towards a Griffin/Claudia romance which would have been VERY controversial at the time due to the inappropriate age gap, then pull that rug out from under the audience by having Julia get back with Griffin for a few episodes just to bury that and make the audience concentrate on something else.
In the middle of season six now and its just brutal. Joe stealing from the restaurant wasn't realistic at all, wasn't fond of Justin being brought back, and it all just feels like a quick rehashing of old plots. I also don't like how the series goes back and forth on Charlie or Bailey being the responsible one in the family. I had a hard time buying Bailey in this role in seasons 4- 5, then when you get used to Bailey in that role, its back to irresponsible, immature Bailey while Charlie becomes the family's 'rock' again.
Its just too much to handle at this point. Hadn't watched this in many years, and I am now reminded why the series started tanking in the ratings.
I love 3-5. 4 - 6 are the ones I actually watched when it originally aired! 6 is the worst for sure!

Perhaps so, but None of the rest of it holds much interest for me. I did not watch it when I was on the air originally. But since becoming a fan of Jeremy London, I like to watch his work.
I feel the same about 7th Heaven.

For some reason I feel like season four is my favorite. I don't even know why I feel that way. It's probably because Charlie's cancer arc was my absolute favorite storyline from PO5. So well done.
shareSeason four.
shareSeasons 3 and 4 were definitely my favorites, but the show was generally excellent up until Julia's break-up with Ned late in Season 5. From that point forward until the show ended, the show seemed to be in fast-forward mode, with most storylines moving along at an unrealistically rapid pace.
I stopped watching the show early in Season 6, but until I started watching the show again in recent months, I couldn't remember why. Now that I'm watching all of Season 6 for the first time, I remember why -- the show simply fell apart at the end.
I started watching probably very early in season 4 and watched until the end. Since then, I've seen all of season 1 and portions of seaons 2 and 3 via reruns and DVD.
My favorite is probably season 2 (even though I haven't seen all of it) which I'm currently watching on DVD. Season 4, my intro to the show, is also one of my faves.
well ofcourse the first seasons, 1-3 were the peak of the show.
Julia and Griffin's marriage, Claudia's school years, Charlie trying to be an adult, Baily's drinking problem and Sarah...
when they grew up and Julia left home and Claudia wasn't a kid anymore, i guess the dynamics changed a bit. also, with Baily and Charlie fighting over castudy, wasn't fun as it used to be... made me feel alot like "childhood's end" in a way... but i think it was always good, unlike other series when they get lost completely.
