1994 was also the year Party of Five debuted. Campbell starred opposite Scott Wolf, Matthew Fox and Lacey Chabert as siblings who are orphaned when their parents are killed by a drunk driver. The show was not initially a hit. In fact, Fox considered cancelling it after the first season.
In 1995, Party of Five won the Golden Globe for Best Drama beating out shows like E/R and NYPD Blue. It was a shocking upset that brought attention to the fledgling drama. The win brought more viewers and better ratings. The ended its run after six seasons in 2000.
She invested her money well and doesn't need this type of work anymore. She's doing good for herself. Hollywood isn't exactly the most glamorous place and if she's happy where she is (not being in the limelight), then I am happy for her too.
@summer_of_41 Hollywood isn't exactly the most glamorous place... Right, because when you think of glamor, the last place that comes to mind is Hollywood.
She doesn't really do high profile projects anymore. She's not "in demand" in mainstream Hollywood as she used to be, but only a VERY small percent of the acting population in LA are. And even when they are "in demand" it usually only happens for a few years, and then it's onto the next It Boy/It Girl. Fame is very fickle; just because you're a huge star now doesn't mean you will be in 5 years.
Is Neve starring in huge movies like she used to back in the 90s? No, she's not. Did her Hollywood career ever reach the heights of someone like Scarlett Johansson or Angelina Jolie? No. But not many people get anywhere close to that.
But Neve is still working consistently every year in smaller projects. She does a lot of TV work and she does a lot of theater as well. She has also shifted to behind the scenes work and is a producer. Is she a huge blockbuster star? No, but she still has a successful career. She's still quite wealthy and is a happy mother now. She seems happy, so what's the issue?
Also, she is going to be a series regular on the next season of House of Cards, which is obviously a huge show.
IMO, she didn't get as big as she could have been because when she was younger she wouldn't show her t!ts.
Honestly, was there any real reason not to show them in Wild Things?
Don't get me wrong, I don't judge an actress's abilities on them showing their t!ts in a movie. I'm just saying that I think if she would have gotten naked in a good/big movie she would have gotten more attention, and thus not gotten naked in cr*ppy movies.
I'll have to take your word for it. I though that in 54 she was in something very sheer, and I kind of remember a picture or two that was revealing.
What is stupid is how they wouldn't have a problem with her being a bi-sexual, murdering psychopath, but they didn't want her showing her t!ts to anyone onscreen.
It's so annoying when people say sh!t like this. Just because she's not in all the mainstream movies nowadays, doesn't mean she's not working. She's done plenty. Any real fan would have followed her work. I find it amusing that people claim actors careers have failed once they stop starring in mainstream films. At the end of the day, she could retire whenever she wants. She has made a large amount of money, and could comfortably live off it for the rest of her life. Something we all hope for, but she succeeded with. If you wanna catch up with what she's doing, watch House of Cards season 4. Definitely the most "mainstream" work she has done lately, if that will satisfy your needs. And she's possibly the best thing about the latest season, which proves that she hasn't lost her appeal. Even she admitted that she went off the radar (in terms of mainstream media), and is now getting back into things. House of Cards is a great start. She's accomplished so much.....What have you done?
Posts like these are completely retarded. Its like because someone goes off the radar, they are a failure... Complete load of rubbish. Not all actresses want to act all their lives and she was often typecast as a teen, woman in her early 20s throughout her peak. Its alot harder for actresses to get work in their 30s or more unless they are A listers, which Neve never was.
