I remember as a kid loving this song ~ wonder if they just made it up for this show or was it a certain artist song that they just used?

I've never heard of any recording artists singing that song.

I never liked the songs in this show. That scene with Gabby and Tina rapping at some talent show or something, the song at Lenni's birthday party, I hated them all. They always struck me as painfully forced and out-of-place, and made me feel embarrassed for everyone involved. Looking back at them now, I suppose the songs themselves are all right, but the scenes they're in are still as embarrassing as they were when I was little.
