Isn't this illegal? Why wasn't it made more of an issue besides unappealing optics? Frank Jr is in a relationship with his home-economics teacher, Alice. She was a 44 year old adult who'd been sexually involved with a student. He may've been 18 when they got engaged, but this clearly indicates they'd been romantically involved while he was still underage.

Age of consent is 17 in New York, so that may have been when they got together.

Also, people assume there's less harm being done when the minor is very close to majority and/or male, so I guess nobody bothered to report or press charges ("bigger fish to fry" mentality).

AS I understood it, they didn't get together while he was in school.
