shareWhy should she go back to that same mess with that same person? Besides, do you remember his so-called joke at the end; "Unless we take a break? Don't make jokes now....." That just states that he learned absolutely nothing the first time around and is bound to screw them up the same way again!

Mark gave her a job because he wanted to sleep with her. Then Ross convinced her boss to keep giving her a pay rise (for a fake dinosaur egg... because that's a thing). Then Mark got her the job in Paris.
I like to think Rachel eventually had the self-awareness to realise she'd earnt none of her success and so decided to stay.
