Crap
Need i say more??????
shareYou're an a$$! Ellen was very funny and still is b/c there are reruns on Oxygen. I'm 14 years old and I'm more mature than you are. Ellen DeGeneres is hilarious. I don't know why everyone is always beating her down.
There are no elevators to success, you have to take the stairs.
You shouldn't call someone an ass because they have their own opinion and they may think its crap or not.

I never actully watched the show but from what I hear the show was good till she came out of the closet, than it became to based on the fact that she was a lesbian, if thats the case, than yah it probably was bad, but what I heard might not have been right so....yah

Just don't like it. Just don't think she's funny. She seems just to go "gee, shucks" for 30 minutes, and that's it. Not my cup of tea, but hey, good luck to y'all who like it.
shareThere are no stairs to success either, just a big pile of unsuccessful people that you have to climb on.
shareEventhough it had its moments, the show had always struck me as a "Seinfeld" wannabe until she came out. And, then, it was hysterical! The only complaint I have about the later episodes was they didnt use the regular cast memebrs enough... it became more like Ellen goes onn a crazy misadventure with tonight's very famous and politically correct guest star. But, it was still one of the netter sitcoms on television at the time.

You're right. Originally it was made to be a reversed "Seinfeld". I think once the second season started, Ellen's humor was a whole lot funnier and it came into it's own. Season three, was, to me, the highlight season of the whole series. That's when Spence came and Adam left.
The show always had the light humor to it that I enjoy. Until the final season. Once she was gay, she was still funny. But, like you say, the lack of friends in the episode hurt the show. Plus, Ellen moved away from her apartment and into a house, she left Buy the Book and became a radio D.J. and was finally in a relationship. Ellen's funnier when she's single (gay or straight).
"Ellen" is my third favorite sitcom of all-time. (NewsRadio and Wings are 1st and 2nd)
It's a great show and if you don't think so, then fine.
Exactly. Boring gay crap.
