I want this movie on a special edition DVD soon

I have one question. Why isn't this film being put on DVD? I mean all of the VHS tapes are getting worn out and you can only get this movie on a DVD that is almost impossible to find. Can anyone send letters to Unniversal to see if they will release this classic film onto DVD? Seriously.

Man I wish I knew, this movie practically DEFINES my childhood. It would suck to have my VHS copy break and not be able to find another...as I would want to show this to my kids someday...it's a darn shame

I couldn't wait, so I just bought a VHS tape on ebay for $1 and converted it to DVD. I used a capture device.

What is a capture device? And where can I get one? I would love to have this movie also.

Well, this technically only applies to Australia, but if it's coming over here, i can almost guaruntee you'll be seeing it soon...

I know what you mean - I associate this movie with "A Troll in Central Park", "Thumbelina", and "Rock-a-doodle", which are ALL out on DVD - why not this one???

Brunettes do it better...

I live in New Zealand, and I KNOW I've seen this on DVD in the bargain bin.
I had the same trouble finding a copy of SPAWN

I actually have Rock-a-doodle on dvd and vhs. Someone else has heard of that movie I love it! Almost as much as I love we're back
