Just because this movie is a favorite from my childhood. Luckily, my VHS copy still works but still...

I agree with you. I just love these funny little cartoon videos. I have a whole collection of different kinds of videos. Action, scifi, animae, certain horse & dog videos and I keep adding on to the collection. I'm 60 going on 61 and my mom keeps wishing I'd quit bringing home videos.

According to DVD Empire, a DVD will be released on May 26, 2009:

It will present the film in its original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1, unlike the international DVD releases (which were in full screen).

Now if only Universal could release widescreen DVDs of "An American Tail: Fievel Goes West" and "Balto"...

I found the DVD last night! oh my god I was shocked. This is in Australia at Kmart. It was on ly $8.99 an instant buy.

May 26? I was at Target yesterday when I found out they were adversiting it, but I didn't check the date til now. Amazon says it comes out on June 2nd.

I may be weird, but I'm not crazy or stupid!

That's where I got mine! The 8 year old in me might've partially squee'd in the store I was so surprised to see it on the shelf.
