Oh, maybe it could be because it's a terrible movie.
Why I hated it:
- way too over the top and silly for anyone over eight years old.
- The characters are boring cliches like the flawless heroes (the dinosaurs), cute kids, evil scientists, the little bird outcast who wants to be accepted etc. Love John Goodman but even he can't bring life to poor material.
- It's just a collection of random scenes with no narrative cohesion. Even for a kid's fantasy film, there's no internal logic and feels like the writers were just making it up as they went along. (It's a story with aliens, talking dinosaurs, two kids who don't seem shocked by dinos talking and evil scientists with magic powers?)
- Too much cheesy schmaltz like the dinos being brought back by the kids hugging them and the two kids kissing. Ugh.
- Bland animation.
- For a story about dinosaurs being brought to life into the present day, very little is done with the premise. Instead, the writers wasted a lot of time on the subplot with the two kids in love, unfunny scenes with the clown and setting the finale in a carnival. Why even fit dinosaurs into this story if you're not going to use them creatively?
To the poster who said this film is better than Pixar: let's just say we're going to disagree. Even the worst Pixar film (which IMO, is Cars 2) is light years better than We're Back!
