LOL! It was obviously filmed almost entirely in LA/Hollyweird, with just a few exterior "2nd unit" shots from Chicago and Aurora, IL.
e.g. there are no mountains in Aurora, and those uber-cool Modernist buildings, like Stan Makita's Donut Shop, are/were LA landmarks.
