Leo's character in this movie reminds me of River Phoenix's portrayal of Chris Chambers in Stand By Me. Does anyone else think the same?

I just watched this and I definitely agree. Stand By Me is probably my favourite film but I thought this film was amazing too. I'm surprised it isn't rated higher.

Oh my god I was thinking exactly the same thing throughout the movie! Not only did they look a little alike, but the whole character's personality, way of speaking, actions, and the way Leo portrayed him reminded me so much of Chris Chambers!
