Gosh, what an awful role - DeNiro was a horrible man in this!

I haven't seen it yet but surely his role as Max Cady in "Cape Fear" is meaner is it not?

You know, I'd say not. Cady in CF was an evil character but he wasn't petty - he was twisted and vindictive and horrible.

But his character in This Boy's Life was really pathetic and capricious. I was very surprised DeNiro took the role.

To be fair- I say biting a chunk out of a womens cheek, beating and raping her is slightly more mean than a beating over mustard.

But that's just me.
