This Boy's Life ~ initially very good, but dull on a 2nd viewing
I watched this for the first time in 2000, and thought it was a good movie.
But a 2nd watch last night, and I saw some flaws.
Like DiCaprio as a very young boy, then a few months in Seattle, and he's a punky-looking kid that seems to have a lot of life changes and switches once he lives with DeNiro.
The DiCaprio change is too quick, and those attitude switches happen too frequently to be believable.
DeNiro is good as usual, and Ellen Barkin's role was disappointing ~ could have been much better.
A 4 out of 10 for me.
