I just saw DeNiro in this for the first time in a while. I forgot how scary Dwight was. What a sick psychotic bastard. After seeing Dwight, I can honestly say I'd rather hang out with Jimmy Conway or even Travis Bickle.

Despite the fact that he's "arguably" played meaner roles, this is honestly the only movie I genuinely disliked De Niro in the first few times I watched it. He is a real schmuck here.
Now, why do I say the first few times? Well because as awful as Dwight is, I can't help but laugh at many of the things he says and does. "I know a thing or two about a thing or two!"

True, he usually has this evil charm in his more sadistic and meaner roles but in this one he was just despicable and unlikeable. Still a legendary actor.
