Was Dwight a Sociopath?

He seems to have a lot of sociopathic tendencies, most notably terrorizing Toby when they are alone and then acting like a really nice guy when they are in front of others. Also the way he treats Toby's mother seems like he desperately needs to dominate and control, not to mention trying to manipulate her to side with him against Toby.

Is he a sociopath, what a great question. Many of the things he did make me think that was the case, but is there more? He did see everything from his perspective only, never thinking how cruel his actions were nor how he hurt everyone around him. Is it possible that he suffered from more than one mental problem? He was such a complex character, it had me thinking the same thing at the end of the movie. I'd like to hear an expert's assessment.

Dwight is Definitely a Narcissist.
He did use Toby and Caroline to benefit himself.
However we don't really know if abusing Toby and Caroline was a source of pleasure. That he intentionally abused them for the purpose of inflicting pain because he enjoyed it. I think the bullying and abuse was his way to maintain control over them...
I'm guessing not a full blown sociopath ... I think its all about keeping control. Dwight did what he did to keep the attention focused on himself and his needs...showing no empathy for Toby. Lack of empathy shows sociopathic behavior, however I don't thing he derived pleasure from harming Toby, just felt he needed to control the situation to maintain his status.
