Mishandled? What are you talking about? There isn't anything like that in this movie, and as far as "not meaning anything to the guy", I don't think that was true...they weren't the loves of each other's lives, but he genuinely liked her and was very nice to her...he just wasn't totally honest. It happens all the time, women aren't so naive that they would be crying about that or even thinking about it in the midst of mind blowing sex...even if they knew for a FACT that the guy didn't care. Believe it or not, it's possible for a woman to enjoy sex even if it's not within the confines of a serious relationship *GASP*! Why would you say she was prostituting herself? She enjoyed screwing him, he enjoyed screwing her...no big deal...christ.
As far as the crying, I saw it more as a release of the stress and feelings that had built up inside her, maybe residual feelings from the bad marriage, stress from many things in her life changing, and the build up of her attraction and sexual feelings toward him culminating in one big release while they were getting it on...sometimes you just finally let go. It was very real, and had nothing to do with her being "manhandled" "not meaning anything to the guy" or "prostituting herself"...I wonder if either you didn't see the whole movie or you have never had a healthy sexual relationship before, in which sex is reciprocal and the man isn't some sort of predator using and abusing the woman. I would really re-examine that if I were you.
