Kandiinsky painting--Chaos, Control

Anybody else notice how the double-sided Kandinsky would be rotated to suit the sequences of the film?

"Control" when we first meet Paul and his "con-artist" delivery is pitch-perfect, fooling everybody.

"Chaos" when the two families meet up with their children to find out who knows anything about Paul and utter pandemonium ensues, with Tess leaving the apartment.

"Control" when Ouisa and Paul are last speaking to each other over the phone and everything falls into place.

There could have been others, but those are the ones I remember.

yes its definitely a symbolic object in the film. it could also symbolize the dual identities of Paul being rich and poor, black and white, assumed straight but is actually gay. there are a lot of chaos/control in this movie.
