Question
How did the kids of the parents find Trent (Anthony Michael Hall) , the link to Paul, in their HS yearbook so fast?
"We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold."

That's a really good question because all their parents told them to look for was someone who could have been involved with the scam but that could have been any of their classmates couldn't it? I also thought it was interesting how quickly Paul admitted to what happened the way he did especially after he got scammed too.
shareI wondered about this too..seemed just a touch too pat to find the correct person so quickly.
On a broader note, what's with the TREMENDOUS overacting by the loud, obnoxious, bratty, spoiled kids? THIS is what gets into HAH-vahd?
I wondered this too. My only guess is that he's the only gay kid they knew that could have known all those details.
Tomorrow's just your future yesterday!
Yea I agree with this person. They told their kids to look for someone homosexual from their class. It's possible they could have given the kids description (short blonde hair) from when he was in the house also.
sharei don't think it was that quick, they clearly had been sorting through yearbook and something about trent stood out. this was their first lead and it panned out. it may have been more believable if they came away with a couple of more names that other kids paid a visit too. for the sake of time and flow of the movie they couldn't spend too much time on this.
