Geez Louise, so this small time criminal gets 50 bucks from you and, has a sex romp in your Park Avenue Penthouse? So they waste boundless energy & torment their kids to no end? For what? He would do little or no time, he obviously wasn't really Sid's kid. This was a scavenger hunt for very pathetic people who really need to get a life. I like this whole cast and I can't believe they wasted their time and my time with this nonsense. Get over it and get on with it! Life is too short to worry about these non-events.

I think that was the point of the movie, and the reasoning for Ouisa's outrage at turning Paul into an anecdote. They, while having it all, were bored and without any real experiences in their lives.

When something out of the ordinary happened, they had to examine it and find out why it happened, and who he was.
