The Onscreen Kiss: What Anthony Said, and What He Should Have Said

What Anthony Michael Hall, per The Wiki Of Life, said about the onscreen kiss that never happened:

Hall's role in the 1993 film Six Degrees of Separation managed to make news not because of what occurred onscreen, but rather what failed to occur. Hall played a gay love interest to Will Smith, who had previously agreed to a kissing scene between the two. However, on the day of the shoot, Smith backed off. Smith told the press that he called Denzel Washington for advice,[22] who told him that an onscreen same-sex kiss was a bad career move.[42] When asked about the incident during an interview, Hall said, "I didn't care. I wasn't that comfortable with it, either, and ultimately, we used a camera trick."[43]

What Anthony should have said:

Will Smith, big chicken! Bwaaaaawk bwak bwak bwak bwaaaaaawwk, that's all Will is, a big chicken!

"I don't deduce, I observe."

They were both against doing the kiss ,will smith was more confident in not doing it than anthony .At least will smith spoke up and said something anthony hall represents the type of actor that just has no voice and just excepts whatever .He isn't his own person and he's not a critical thinker like will smith is .As and actor you shouldn't just dive head first into something just because .You should learn to think before you do something alot of actors don't do it .They agree to do something before thinking about the consequences of their actions.I think for will at that moment he smartened up that doesn't make him a chicken if your not comfortable doing something then you should say something so you don't waste peoples time .It's called being and adult speaking up for yourself he handled it professionally .I'm sure it was one thing that originally wasn't going to happen then the director decided at the last moment to change things .That's not right ,i'm sure he knew will smith wouldn't of done it to begin with but felt maybe that .Since he agreed to do the film that he would change his mind its obvious he didn't .There was obviously a break in the communication over what was going to happen in this scene .It's not always the actors fault .

Quality in art is not merely a matter of personal opinion but to a high degree objectively traceabl

I always thought it odd that he objected to the kiss but not the scene with him being *beep*
