Ivory Elephants

Hi, I first saw TSG movie(1993) when I was little, and i loved it. And later read the book. When my cousin was a little bit older, we whatched together. She loved it as well. In the movie Mary gets a ivory elephant off her moms stand, and later on in the movie she finds the twin to it, they were her mothers and aunt's. (ring a bell?) But I was interested in getting a simaller pair 4 my cousins b-day, one 4 me and one 4 her, and Iam not sure where to look? Help, any ideas r good. I wonder what they did with the ones from the movie or where they got them. Thanks!

Maybe check out eBay or an antique store. That's where I think you could find some.

i keep seeing them in dollar stores (though not ivory) and of course they have them in tons of market stalls in thailand, asia etc. why dont you try asian antique stores?

Real Ivory would be illegal of course, but I have a few of them. You just have to look around. I see them in Chinese shops alot, though usually Jade.

u can find some at smaller asian shops im sure, though maybe not ivory. however my friend has a little marble pony that fits in the center of the palm, so maybe an elephant like that/

There is a legal way to acquire real ivory in the USA. It is legal to buy antique ivory that was imported before the 1970 ban. You can check out antique shops and estate sales for pre-1970 ivory.
