at the end, Dickon and Mary are married?? I remember seeing another version and we all know that Dickon and Mary most likely got married, but there is a version where, at the end, we see Dickon and Mary together near a pond and they are probably in their 20's and they acted like they were married.

There sure are a lot of versions of this movie! The author must have been really rich.I grew up on the 1993 version. ooo I love Mary and Dickon together.

I saw that version too and do agree it was not as good as the newer version. I think it was colin and mary who ended up togeather and that dickon died during the war.
