Did anyone see the 1949 version?
I just watched it, and the 1993 version looks almost the same. The house, the garden, all the visuals were almost exactly the same. Both were very good.
shareI just watched it today on TCM. :) I liked it very much. I didnt really think it looked to similar too the newer version... the garden was a bit of a dissappointment. Maybe because I love the one in the 1993 version; it was so mysterious and hidden. However, I really loved how they switched to color when in the garden.
We didn't need dialogue. We had faces!
Yes, I did and I absolutely loved it. I was totally surprised by how good it was. I also feel that it is rather different from the 1993 version, and for me the 1949 film is by far the better version.
