Am I remembering this line wrong?

My parents took me to see this in the theatre when it first came out, so I only would have been about 8 or 9 at the time. I remembered a lot about it and vaguely recalled that I enjoyed it, but hadn't seen it again since.

Today I saw it on DVD for the first time in 19 odd years, and I absolutely loved every minute of it. Beautiful film. Not a single bad word or negative criticism to say about.

However, one specific part of the movie I had a very distinct memory of was when the girl was being offered her choice of clothes by the maid as she jokingly presents to her three black outfits that all look basically the same. I remembered from my childhood that her response was "They're all black, stupid!". This one bit of dialogue was one of the things that stuck with me the most over the years, and so I was surprised upon watching the DVD when she instead said "What are you, blind? They're all black!"

I'm wondering if it's possible the line was changed from the theatrical release for the DVD, or if I've simply been remembering it wrong all these years? I ordinarily wouldn't concern myself with such a trivial matter, except that it's something I had remembered so clearly and so vividly....or so I thought.

Does anybody know?

I remember Mary saying, "Are you blind? They're all black" on the VHS. I don't have the DVD so can't compare.

I have the original VHS, so I went looking for you! The line is "are you blind", no mention of stupid :)
