It's okay but NOTHING beats the 1987 version!!

This film is pretty good but the best version is the Hallmark 1987 version! Everything about it is outstanding!!

the original mary lennox is much more believable as the sullen and plain child than cutesy kate maberly.

yes,there is a BBC version but I have never seen it.I heard that it quite good

I don't like the hallmark one for the changes they made to the original story. Especially having Dickon being killed in the war!

Oh thank you AngelGirl! I thought there was a version that killed Dickon off but i didn't know which one. I like this version so much.

I've not seen the 1987 version but am astonished that it'd be better than this treatment. I'll definitely watch for it.

I've seen the 87 version twice and didn't care for it. This version is the one I love. I remember seeing and liking the BBC version, but need to watch it again.
