I agree! Man if I had talked that way to any grown ups when I was a kid! O_O Even now, I wouldnt do it! I'm not exactly a kid....not exactly a grown up either! Teenager! I'm not exactly the most polite thing around, but I knew better than that at least!

Yes, but Medlock was Colin's servant because he was the son of the master of te house. So in that period of time, he had the right to speak like that to her, and she actually had to listen.

Haha yes it was a bit confronting to see! Man, I want servants.

I thought it was funny how the roles of colin and medlock went back and forth on who was an authority. Continuity error maybe?

It was surprising how Colin was able to order her about at times. I always thought that head housekeepers in those big houses mostly ruled the roost.

Remember, while Colin is technically the master when his father is away, Ms. Medlock is the senior most adult in the house, and Colin is in her care, at Lord Craven's orders. So Colin can boss her around some (bring me warm milk, shut that window) but Medlock could probably overrule him when it came to his health. Also, Medock was a formidable woman, I doubt anyone could defy her for long.
