I am a White Sox fan, hardcore. So for me to like anything to do with the Cubs would be unheard of. However, one of my favorite actors directed a film to my taste. I loved it as a child and I still do now. How could you pour tasteless people rate this as a 5.2 and post negatives on this? Seriously what is wrong with the film. It is funny, wild plot but somehow made realisticly, and has a low budget cast but familiar faces to make this worth while. This film was well done.

I totally agree with you. I am watching it right now on ABC Family and i still enjoy it. I don't understand so many people don't like this movie. I will always find it enjoyable!!!!

Its an 'ok' film. I think the score is justified for what film it is, because lets be honest, its not a masterpiece is it.

This is not a great film but I thought it was fun to watch. So you can call it fake or stupid, but it was entertaining. Not a Top 250, but a good sunday afternoon flick.

i am watching this movie right now. I am wondering what school that was in the movie. I know some of it was fillmed in my hometown of Oak Park IL. I'm wondering if the school he went to was emerson

I don't know about you guys,but this movie first came out when I was like 5...
and the local tv channels showed it for like...hmm,10 times a year?or more!!(for the next 5 or 6 years)
I just enjoyed it..
It's been more than 5 years since the last time I saw it,and I wouldn't miss it for nothing in the world if they showed it again...
It's a film I actually grew up with!I love it!!!!!

I'll be honest, I never saw the movie until maybe 4 or 5 years ago, and I think while the concept is a bit weak, the movie is littered with hilarious jokes, "The Cubs tie their longest winning streak of the year... Two." etc
Also, it is cool seeing him strike out a very skinny Barry Bonds. The relationship he builds with Chet is good. For some reason, Chet really reminds me of Randy Johnson.
