loved this movie as a kid...

i even had the novelization...i think it mentioned Henry hitting a grand slam...i got a chance to watch it again for the first time in a long time on AMC recently...have to say i still enjoy watching it...the baseball scenes are unrealistic, of course, but if you can get past that, i think you can enjoy it...even though the baseball scenes were unrealistic, they were great...the score during those scenes were great...Daniel Stern provided some harmless comic relief, but i think Gary Busey was the man in this movie...maybe a little old to play a pitcher in the major leagues, but he was the father figure Henry needed...plus there was Henry's mom, who was the ultimate mom...and Henry's crush...yeah she was hot, and i say this as someone who thought she was hot when i was a kid (i'm actually younger than the actress who played her)...i think overall, the movie doesn't bear much scrutiny, but if you want to have some entertainment (and if you're a baseball fan who doesn't look for what's wrong in a baseball movie), you might enjoy watching this movie...gee, i should put this up in the IMDb reviews for the movie...
