My go-to sick movie

For many years--probably until junior high--Rookie of the Year was always the first VHS I popped into the VCR when I stayed home sick from school. I absolutely loved this movie as a kid. Watching it on AMC just now brought back a huge rush of nostalgia. Now, as a college student poised on the brink of graduation in the midst of an economic recession, having absolutely no idea what I'm going to do with the rest of my life, it makes me wistful to think back to those days when my biggest concern was writing an essay on Number the Stars. Sigh.

You posted this over a year ago, but I have to say I appreciated your post. Along with The Sandlot, this was one of my go-to sick movies as well. I just watched the movie on DVD after not having seen it for a few years and it was great!

While I did not know of this films existance until lately (when I got a LaserDisc copy), I used to watch Angels in the Outfield when I was sick. I would also watch all the Indiana Jones films, because they made me feel good after watching them (though I would probably barf even more if I saw the new one).
