Wide-Eyed Energy To The Movie

Ha ha--I know this is a feel good family comedy movie and probably a mini 90's classic to some--it always makes me laugh at the corny wide-eyed expressions on Thomas Ian Nicolas(Henry's)face when he's excited or scared.

This was one of those bright and breezy comedies of the 90's that had some of that ambitious 'trying to be a big movie' kind of feel to it.Like a lot of 80's comedies did.

I thought it might have had a John Hughes connection because they got Daniel Stern-John Candy and Eddie Bracken in it.Candy and Bracken being in 'Vacation'---Candy and Stern being in 'Home Alone'

But yeah this has one of those corny wide-eyed excitable styles to it.Especially with how they directed Nicolas to act as the excitable kid with those wide-eyed expressions all the time.
