I know that this film is now available on dvd. but does anyone know whre i can get hold of one in uk. i have searched on ebay but they dont even have it on there?!

It seems to be available at Amazon UK, amazon.co.uk. I hope this helps. It is an interesting movie.

I think I paid the most with £4.99 at virgin. But hey, I really enjoyed it. Couldnt have hoped for a much better adaption of the book. It almost works as an advert for the book itself.

I also got this in Tesco for 97p and, not expecting much more than a time passer late one night I was totally blown away by the originality and subtlety of this movie which I will watch again very soon.

£4.99 HMV yesterday - just searching for things to add to my Mandy Patinkin collection. They didn't have True Colors so I got that. Didn't know what to expect but it was bloody brilliant. And sinister.

....I just bought the DVD of this movie from Tesco's in Poole, Dorset for 97 pence......great value and the print is good

99p in Sainsbury's. I almost collapsed when I saw the price. Snapped it up with the bread and milk. Every bit as brilliant as I remember it being when I first saw it.

Can you (or anyone else) tell me if the DVD format is full screen or wide screen? I am looking to buy a copy but won't bother if it isn't wide screen (and it doesn't specify on amazon UK). Someone else posted that it was full screen but I thought perhaps that it might be available in both versions. Thanks.

It is indeed Fullscreen, budd.. I think its quite hard to find on DVD (no US release as far as I know) so your best option may be to go with the FS option in the meantime. After all, its cheap as heck! (I was also 1.99 woolworths - and loved the movie).

I have "obtained" the US and UK release and alas both are fullscreen. As far as I know there is no widescreen release to date.
