take-out Chinese?
That's what the kids are eating when Miranda comes to pick them up and she smells it and gets disgusted. This isn't a "bad dad" thing, it's a "had a long day" thing or just "Chinese sounds good" thing.
That part always bugged me.
Miranda was being a bitch during that scene. Even if you're Team Miranda, she was awful in that scene! Was an hour late dropping them off, an hour early picking them up, insults Daniel's apartment the second she busts in, doesn't knock, refers to the kids as "My children", acts like a snob about the Chinese food, tells the kids she doesn't think it's a good idea to use the bathroom before they leave, and tells them not to forget anything because she doesn't want to come back. Good God, lady! Lighten up!
