shareVery few people have a good idea of what to do during a choking situation, maybe they've see the Heimlich manuver on TV but that doesn't mean they remember how to do it correctly during a crisis. So they're probably sitting there thinking "... do you just grab the guy or is there some special way to do it? I sure hope someone else has had lifesaver training and steps up...".
Well, I have BLS traning every two years as it's a job requirement, and if I saw someone choking I'd hesitate for just a few seconds, hoping someone bigger and stronger and who's actually done it on a human being will step up first.
