Lack of closure

I woke up super early today and I'm off from work and I'd thought I'd kill some time until the sun comes up and I'd lay in bed and check out of the movie channels on my cable package, and I happened to catch this movie on, watching it from the part where Lori escapes with Max from the lab all the way to the end. I'm assuming Perry dies from his injuries, since we don't see him in the house in the final scene, or the fact that the bodies under the house are never addressed, I'm guessing all of this happened off screen?

He was taken out of the house on a stretcher and into an ambulance, hooked up to some medical equipment. So, I guess it's safe to say he survived.

Probably so, but you'd think they'd put him in the last scene with everyone else if he did.

I watched it for the first time last night, and really liked it. Somebody tells Lori that he's going to be fine as he's put in the ambulance.
