This movie was playing in theaters the same time Jurassic Park was....
I remember that me and my two cousins were dropped off at the theater by our parents to see Jurassic Park that day. We were 13, 9, and 6 (almost 7). (Looking back, I don't know how my cousins got in with just me and not an adult, being a PG-13 movie, but they did. Laidback small-town theater, I guess.)
Anyway...
We sat down and were really just bored to death. Being a little older I was willing to sit and wait for the movie to pick up, but my cousins weren't having it, and they were just being annoying. And after a while, I didn't care enough about the movie, to try and sit through it. We decided to leave Jurassic Park and ended up sneaking into Made In America. hehehe
I don't remember if we planned to do that before getting up out of our seats, or if we just had the idea on a whim when we were out in the hallway.... but we did it, and we have a lot of fun watching Made In America. Even my six-year-old cousin liked it, and he wasn't a patient kid.
Just thought I'd share. That's one of those insignificant things that turned out to be a fun childhood memory.
I don't know about my cousins, but to this day, I've not attempted to ever watch Jurassic Park again, or any of its sequels. Quite an overrated blockbuster, IMO. Made In America, on the other hand, is a classic modern comedy.
