shareWell, Hammond and co felt it wouldn't offer enough if they did that. Frankly imo, Vilocirapters and Diloposaurs weren't neccesary as most people don't even know about them. I never heard of them til this movie was made.
shareFace it, the public wants T-Rexes! If they'd started the park with just the herbivores, then at least 80% of the visitors would either ask where the T-Rexes are, or if they knew there weren't any, would ask when the T-Rexes would be coming.
Hell, the venture capitalists who funded the place probably put T-Rexes in the contract.
