How old where you when you first watched Jurassic Park?

And how do you feel when watching it again?

I was 7.

For me, I still feel that nostalgic wonder when watching Jurassic Park as an adult. At least now, I get to see it without peeking from between my fingers and I finally understand some of the jokes, conversations and plot complexities.

Just thought I'd ask because I just watched Jurassic World and saw a bunch of kids who were my age when I first watched this, and I wondered how they'd feel if they watched JW again in the next decade or so. I'm just a bit disturbed because this one was far more violent than the first movie. Then again, these kids might be more desynthesized to violence than I was back in the day.

34. I watched it again last night on a big screen, and it came across as loud and cliched. And those endless slow zooms... There's no doubt that Spielberg is a phenomenal storyteller, but I think movies like Jaws and Raiders of the Lost Ark are much better "roller coaster" movies than Jurassic Park.

On the positive side, I did recall how impressive the special effects were back in 1993. You didn't yet have the overkill that you often have with digital effects today. And I still love that image of the banner slowly falling at the end of the last big dinosaur fight.

Well I thought I was 6 when I saw this movie but now I see it came out in 1993 which means I would have only been 4 so now im confused if I even saw it in theaters. I know I saw one of them lol

I was in the second grade of elementary school when a student from our class was given the permission to bring a VCR copy of Jurassic Park to school for us to see.

We sat queitly inside the dark classroom and looked at the glowing screen in awe with dinosaurs and stuff running around the screen.

Come to think of it, the movie had some really disturbing scenes of people getting killed on it, but for some reason our teacher didn't care much since the movie was so popular at the time.

I was 41 and it was awesome. Watching it now at 62 I still find it awesome. I guess it brings out the kid in me. 😊

Happy to be able to watch anything these days.

I was 12. There were things I didn't pick up on then, that I pick up on now. As a twelve-year-old, I was just looking to be entertained by a suspense thriller involving prehistoric creatures.

7, after it came out on VHS.

I ran out of the room when Ray's arm dropped on Ellie.

It was two years ago when I saw the whole thing. Which means I would of been 56, and it was by myself at an outdoor showing in the Crystal city area of Arlington. If I am correct the theme of that summer was blockbusters.
