The premise is just impossible.
No way anyone would get away with doing this.
shareWhat? Talking crap on IMDb?? I'm afraid they often do!
We have to show the world that not all of us are like him: Henning von Tresckow.
How so?
shareFor several reasons.
shareYou know, I was really hoping you'd be a little more specific. That was why I asked.
sharewell for starters the genetic material in the blood inside a mosquito simply wouldn't be usable. If it was usable it would just contain one or two types of dna, it couldn't hold every single dinosaur species. Also, how could they get away with creating such a thing and literally nobody finding out?? authorities and stuff? It's just so far fetched.
shareThe general audience doesn't know that much about DNA, if what you're saying is true, which I'm not presuming it isn't. And I think we are to understand that there were many mosquitoes drawing from many animals.
shareIt seems the film implies there was just that one mosquito in amber.
shareNot to me. The beginning shows them mining for the amber, implying that they're mining for dino DNA available only via trapped mosquitoes.
shareIn the book Grant is visited by an EPA officer who knows about Hammond buying up amber. Finding amber with a mosquito that was trapped just after drinking dinosaur blood is like finding a needle in a haystack, so it's unlikely anyone would pony up the dough for it.
shareWe're talking about the movie. 😀
shareRight?
It's almost like this was a movie instead of real life!
